We’re approaching our last sale of the year and I am proud to share some of the impressive lots consigned.

The sale contains three Pierneefs, Cottage in a Karoo Landscape, an oil on canvas with a low estimate of R700 000, Union Buildings from Prinshof, a linocut estimated at R25 000-35 000 and Rustenburg, Bethanie, a watercolour with a low estimate of R50 000.

Other featured artists include Anton Smit, Frans Oerder, Gerard de Leeuw, Marc Chagall, John Koenakeefe Mohl, George Pemba, Armando Baldinelli and Gregoire Boonzaier among others.

For the first time a special feature on prints and printmaking has been included in Session 3. Prints form a core technique in South Africa’s art history and provide an interesting alternative for the collector. An impressive array of prints, ranging from woodcuts, linocuts, monotypes, drypoints, screenprints and lithographs to sugar lift, spit bite and aquatint etchings are on offer. They are sure make worthy additions to your collection.

There are highlights spread throughout the sale, here are a few of mine
