William Kentridge's Dancing Nose to raise funds for the South African Ballet Theatre

July 19, 2010 - Stephan Welz & Co will be including an etching donated by William Kentridge to The South African Ballet Theatre, the country’s largest professional ballet company, on their main paintings auction session on the evening of Tuesday, 17 August 2010 at 6.30pm at 13 Biermann Avenue, Rosebank, Johannesburg. The proceeds received from the sale of this lot will help towards the continuation of classical ballet in South Africa.

With recent successes in the art market from our Cape Town office’s June auction, accomplishing both South African and World Records, we anticipate the two day, four session sale, will follow suit.
