World records set at Stephan Welz & Co’s June sale in Cape Town.

June 3, 2010 - “The rostrum offered the best vantage point on Tuesday night with our normally poker-faced collectors animatedly chasing after the many top pieces on offer,” said Phillippa Duncan, auctioneer and paintings specialist. “The biggest treat for me is being able to handle and pass on works of great beauty and cultural significance. As any one will tell you, the best means to do this is at auction.”
