This had been the same feeling so evident in the days's earlier Books and Paintings sessions, but this time the financial benchmark was somewhat more upscale. In reality, the claimed breadth of choice on offer proved to be a successful strategy with an unusually high percentage of works on offer going under the hammer. November 17, 2009 - The first auction session of Stephan Welz & Company's year-end sale was divided into a Book section and a Paintings section, with the latter being a precursor to the featured highlight evening session on Tuesday 17th November. The Book section was an outstanding success, but the Paintings section took up the challenge and delivered an unusually high percentage of sales successes with prices largely falling in or above estimate level.

November 17, 2009 - Stephan Welz & Company announced that there were five works by Francois Krige consigned to their November auction in Johannesburg. The work entitled 'Geelbeck Farm, Westcoast' was lot 351 and went under the hammer during the evening session starting at 18h30 on 17 November 2009.
